Dear Fellow Islander,
First and foremost, the Grosse Ile 2020 Candidates Team hopes that your family, friends, neighbors and you are doing as well as possible in this extremely difficult time of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
On top of the health crisis, thousands of Islanders are enduring the frustrations of the planned eight month closure of the Wayne County Bridge on Parkway for major maintenance.
Given these new challenges plus a growing feeling in recent years that Township's politics have become too quarrelsome, one of the last things that most Islanders want to do right now is think about a Township Board election that will be held on August 4, 2020.
Unfortunately, we cannot wait for a more comfortable time to focus on the future of Grosse Ile -- it must be done now. Our deep sense of concern about the future of this great community and its outstanding citizens has motivated us to run for the seven positions on the Township Board.
We invite you to read the Grosse Ile 2020 Campaign Platform developed by the Grosse Ile 2020 Candidates Team to learn about our values and policy priorities for working with Islanders to establish a new consensus on how to make Grosse Ile an even better place to live.
